KREEPY CHRISTMAS 2014 DARKSt. John’s Conservatory Theater (JCT) is proud to announce that its newest original musical comedy A Kreepy Christmas Carol has added (by popular demand) a matinee on Sunday, December 14th at 2 pm.

“We are still doing 6 performances,” explains Artistic Director R O’Donnell, “We’ve simply shuffled our opening date to Saturday the 6th and added a well needed matinee on Sunday the 14th, with a 2 pm curtain. It’s a Christmas Carol after all, and JCT wants to give every child and senior citizen a chance to see this delightful musical comedy. The Sunday Matinee accomplishes that goal.”

Local talent from Ogdensburg and Canton make up the cast with (in order of appearance) Sloane Ryan as Nipper, Makayla Lovely as Abby, Hailey Weber as Letty, Jillian LeBel as Gusie, Elizabeth Bascom as Trudy, Cole Siebels as Cager, Anton Skamperle as Ollie, Dee Bellinger as Zinger and Tiny Tina, Christopher Dwyer as Bob Cratchit, R O’Donnell as Scrooge, Brad Mintener as Jacob Marley, Rebecca Bascom as the Ghost of Been There Done That, Ryan Woodard as Fezziwig, Angela Conzone Dwyer as the Ghost of Christmas Presents, and a surprise guest each night as the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

A reimagined Scrooge finds himself haunted by new ghosts, while facing new and familiar characters, in a rollicking tale presented in JCT’s signature commedia dell’arte/chamber theater style. A Kreepy Christmas Carol promises to be a real holiday treat for the entire family!

This tuneful comedic interpretation of the Dickens holiday classic is directed by R O’Donnell, with original book, music, and lyrics by award winning playwright/composer Brazillia R. Kreep (author of JCT’s last hit Alice Isn’t All There), musical direction and vocal arrangements by Angela Conzone Dwyer, orchestrations by Ryan McNally, set and prop designs by Stephen Chambers, and costumes and makeup by Ann Losurdo and Maggie Gebo.

Show times are Friday and Saturday evenings December 6, 12, 13, 19, 20. Curtain is at 7 PM with a 2 pm matinee on Sunday the 14th and the show runs approximately 90 minutes. Tickets cost $15 at the door (suggested donation), or $10 at jctscrooge.brownpapertickets.com.
