christmas carol announceBA CHRISTMAS CAROL Musical Comedy Opens December 11, 2015, St. John’s Parish House

St. John’s Conservatory Theater is holding Auditions for their holiday production of the musical comedy Brazillia R. Kreep’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Opening December 11th and running through December 20th, A CHRISTMAS CAROL is a retelling of the Classic story by Charles Dickens. Auditions will be held November 7th starting at 6:00 pm at the St. John’s Parish House on the corner of Knox and Franklin Street in Ogdensburg, NY. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in.

This is an open call so all are welcome. Please prepare an A Capella song of your choice. Variety artists are strongly encouraged to audition such as comics, dancers, musicians, jugglers and the like. JCT principal creative staff include Director Richard O’Donnell, Musical Director and Choreographer Angela Conzone Dwyer, Arranger and Orchestrator Ryan C. McNally, Scenic and Prop Designer Stephen Chambers, Costume and Makeup Designer Karen Fischbeck Carmony, Technical Director and Production Coordinator Christopher Dwyer, and Stage Manager Sadie Smith. Collectively they have over five decades of professional theatrical and academic experience including regional, stock, bus and truck, off-off-Broadway, off-Broadway, and Broadway stages.

To date, Brazillia R. Kreep (a.k.a. Richard O’Donnell) has written several highly successful musicals for St. John’s Conservatory Theater including the popular ALICE ISN’T ALL THERE (based on Lewis Carroll’s ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND) and KREEPY HALLOW (based on Washington Irving’s THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HALLOW).

The St. John’s Conservatory Theater (JCT) is a professional troupe of actors, artists, and musicians. It is their vision to create educational, inspirational, and professional opportunities for local artists of all ages while presenting original musicals based on folklore, literature, and legend.
